Is it really free?
Yes. The CodeGrid desktop app is free and open source under the MIT license, with no account, no license keys, no paid tier, and every feature included.
What about AI features?
AI extras (code review, commit messages, terminal naming, voice) use your own OpenAI API key. Usage bills to your OpenAI account. Coding analytics runs fully locally with no key.
Is there crypto or staking?
No. There is no token, wallet link, or stake required for any feature.
How do you make money?
Today we don't. CodeGrid is free and open source from ZipLyne LLC. Optional hosted services for teams may exist later as add-ons you can ignore; the desktop app stays free and open source either way.
Do I need an account?
No. There's no sign-up and no telemetry. You bring your own AI agent logins and optional OpenAI key; CodeGrid stores nothing on our servers.
Can I use it at work?
Yes. The MIT license permits commercial use. See the Terms for details.
